WHAT WE’RE ALL ABOUT
Since 2009, we’ve provided customers with convenient and comprehensive services for all their repair needs.
We don't promise to be the cheapest, we do quality work at competitive prices. Quality comes as a standard not an extra, we believe in minimizing wastefulness and do not replace anything unless we need to. We turn around your bike as fast as possible as it's in our best interest to get you back on your bike!
HOW DO I BOOK MY BIKE IN?
We now use a book-in system which has helped to keep the turnaround shorter. We do ask that you bring the bike 1 day prior to work to ensure we have the bike for the whole day.
For example, a slot booked on the 11th of June would mean dropping the bike off on the 10th.
WHAT DO I NEED WITH ME?
This depends on what work you require - we don't require payment until collection, when checking a bike in I take a contact name, number, postcode, and date of check-in. You are also welcome to source any parts yourself and bring them in so have those handy.
DO I NEED TO PREPARE THE BIKE BEFOREHAND?
Bikes must be reasonably clean before they come in, if they're booked in for services, they will be washed anyway, but additional charges might be added if the gears are particularly grimy . Bikes in for checkovers or any other repair work will be washed if necessary and will be charged for.
COULD YOU REPAIR 'X' WHILE I WAIT?
We're only able to do punctures while you wait but not always. Almost every other job will have to be booked in as every 15-minute job is 1 broken part away from a multi-day nightmare!
'X' CAN DO THE WORK FASTER/CHEAPER, CAN YOU MATCH THAT?
Most of the time no, we try our best to get your bike back to you ASAP but are often governed by delivery times. With regards to cost - I do not promise to be the cheapest but I do believe in quality work, you are welcome to try elsewhere to see the difference.
MY BIKE ISN'T READY BY THE DATE YOU GAVE ME/THE TOTAL BILL HAS COME TO MORE THAN YOU TOLD ME?
Unfortunately with the nature of the job, we often find the unexpected - whether that be a worn/damaged bearing, cable, or any other part. The date you book your bike in for is always the date that we will start working on it, however not necessarily the day it is ready to collect. If you need your bike back for a specific date then let us know and we will do our best to work around that.
Services and Repair
Our Cytech trained technicians in the workshop repair & service most brands & models of bikes.
Our Services are among our most popular jobs. We offer a £75 standard service, and a £200 comprehensive service.
For E-bikes, we offer updates/diagnostics at £40, and a Standard E-service at £120.
Labour is charged at £40 ex. VAT (£48 inc. VAT) per hour on other work.
Our Standard service includes a wash, clean and degrease, gear setup, and brake setup. A visual inspection is then carried out. We then check & adjust all nuts & bolts/fasteners to recommended torque. After this, we inform you of any recommendations or advisories your bike might need.
During a Comprehensive service, we do the above + all components are removed, cleaned, checked, reassembled, and torqued correctly.
All our work is guaranteed.
We are predominantly a mountain bike store as that's our passion and focus, however, we cater for all disciplines.
